You Are My Solace

The person you love should be where you can calm your soul.
Does that scare you a little? Good.
He should make you fear his love,
So that when he lets you be a part of it,
You won’t take it lightly
He should remind you
Of the beauty that brings the storm
Residing, in his veins
That he still wants you
In the middle of it all.
He is the safest place
To be myself
And that person, is my solace.
