Restarted, a new life

For a long time, I waited for the storm that never came

Feeling restless, even with the smallest of emotions while it hit me

With no-one to guide me forward

Drifting like a free soul in the ocean, I lost myself in the way

It’s truly funny, how people teach us to depend on them

And when they hurt us, we forgive them, again and again

But couldn’t fool myself any longer like this

So instead, I restarted myself and never looked back

Thank you for making me, who I am today.

This is for you my dear, it’s been a long time now

I should move on, finally – alone.
